With<\/span> two<\/span> compositions for <\/span>nonet<\/span>, <\/span>Kammerata<\/span> reveres<\/span> the <\/span>\u010cesk\u00e9<\/span> noneto<\/span>, <\/span>founded<\/span> in 1924 and one of the <\/span>oldest<\/span> established<\/span> chamber<\/span> music formations<\/span> still<\/span> in existence <\/span>today<\/span>. <\/span>Bohuslav<\/span> Martin\u016f<\/span> wrote<\/span> a <\/span>nonet<\/span> in 1959, on the 25th <\/span>anniversary<\/span> of the <\/span>Czech<\/span> ensemble, and in <\/span>November<\/span> of the <\/span>same<\/span> year<\/span> it<\/span> performed<\/span> Witold <\/span>Lutos\u0142awski’s<\/span> Dance <\/span>Preludes<\/span> for the first time, in a new version of the <\/span>work<\/span> originally<\/span> written<\/span> for <\/span>clarinet<\/span> and piano. <\/span><\/span>Between<\/span> the<\/span> two<\/span> nonettes<\/span> a <\/span>new<\/span> work<\/span> by<\/span> the<\/span> Luxembourg <\/span>composer<\/span> Nik Bohnenberger <\/span>for<\/span> seven<\/span> players<\/span> will <\/span>be<\/span> performed<\/span>. Bohnenberger <\/span>raises<\/span> the<\/span> question<\/span> of<\/span> what<\/span> a <\/span>world<\/span> from<\/span> which<\/span> people<\/span> have<\/span> disappeared<\/span>, <\/span>would<\/span> sound<\/span> like. The <\/span>compositorial<\/span> answer<\/span> to<\/span> this<\/span> question<\/span> is<\/span> guided<\/span> by<\/span> the<\/span> idea<\/span> that<\/span> man-made <\/span>structures<\/span> still <\/span>continue<\/span> to<\/span> emit<\/span> sounds<\/span>, just like <\/span>the<\/span> animal<\/span> kingdom<\/span> and <\/span>the<\/span> plant <\/span>world<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
