Harfenkl\u00e4nge und Erz\u00e4hlungen nach E.T.A. Hoffmann \u2013 ein Konzert zwischen Traum und Wirklichkeit<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A breath of fantasy runs through this concert : music and literature intertwine, and the harp becomes a storyteller. In Conte fantastique<\/em> by Andr\u00e9 Caplet, Edgar Allan Poe\u2019s tale The Masque of the Red Death<\/em> is transposed into music \u2013 from the harp\u2019s dark sonorities to the fatal twelve strokes of midnight.<\/p>\n

E.T.A. Hoffmann, both composer and master of fantastic literature, unites words and sounds: a great admirer of Mozart and Beethoven, his compositions are rooted in the classical style, in contrast to his literary work which opens toward the Romantic spirit.<\/p>\n

In 1944, Jacques Ibert\u2019s Trio for Violin, Cello and Harp juxtaposes a light French spirit against the shadows of war. Finally, Markus Br\u00f6nnimann\u2019s El canto quiere ser luz<\/em> (2020) unfolds a mysterious and contrasting soundscape, imbued with a yearning for light.<\/p>\n

Texts from the world of fantastic literature \u2013 notably by E.T.A. Hoffmann \u2013 accompany the musical works and extend their literary imagination.<\/p>\n
