Le Docteur Ox – Fantaisie musicale d’après Jules Verne 

Kammerata Luxembourg celebrates its 40th anniversary with a concert under the sign of fantasy and Romanticism. The evening opens with the world premiere of Un certain Docteur Ox… by Olivier Dartevelle, a satirical musical fantasy inspired by Jules Verne, featuring the composer himself as narrator.

The second part highlights George Onslow’s Nonet Op. 77, a rare romantic work for nine instruments, in which winds and strings merge into a sound texture of great richness. Presented as part of the Fräiraim series at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, this exceptional program weaves together literary narration and chamber music, marking a highlight of this anniversary season.
