For its Halloween programme, Kammerata Luxembourg invites audiences into a world of mystery, enchantment and the supernatural. Shadow Worlds brings together chamber music, literature and contemporary soundscapes in an immersive experience where reality gradually gives way to imagination.

Special guest Carolina Eyck, one of the world’s leading theremin performers, takes centre stage in this extraordinary evening. Her instrument—played without physical contact yet capable of remarkable expressiveness—guides the audience through a landscape of spectral sounds, hidden presences and unsettling beauty.

Along the way, witches, ghosts and dark legends emerge from the shadows. Texts by Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, Henry James and Guy de Maupassant intertwine with music by Debussy, Mussorgsky, Britten, Ligeti, Saariaho, Philip Glass and others, creating a richly atmospheric narrative. Dreams and reality blur, transformations unfold, and the unseen seems almost within reach.

Prepare yourself for a haunting evening where music and storytelling reveal what lies beyond the visible world, giving voice to the hidden forces of the imagination.
