On the occasion of the complete recording of Kurtág’s works for flute by Markus Brönnimann

Kammerata Luxembourg invites you to an exceptional musical experience dedicated to the Hungarian composer György Kurtág (*1926). This special tribute is inspired by the release of Markus Brönnimann’s complete recording of Kurtág’s works for flute—a deeply profound artistic achievement.
Kurtág’s music captivates with its unique expressive power, influenced by the Hungarian language, and its reduction to the essential. In addition to works by the “master of miniaturization,” the program will feature compositions by Claude Debussy, one of Kurtág’s major influences.
A highlight of the evening will be the Luxembourg premiere of Short Story, a composition by Markus Brönnimann that bridges tradition and musical modernity. Marcel Reuter will present the program.
