CD-Release – ECHOES OF AUTUMN AND LIGHT
Feb
2021
New music around the theme of light, sometimes bright and dazzling, sometimes subdued and dark, that of autumn with its bright colours and joys, behind which lie decline and sadness. Delicate sounds and rich harmonies, as well as an intensive dialogue between the interpreters of the different scores.
Kammerata Luxembourg’s new CD is certainly a “document” bringing together five works by four composers who all have an intense relationship with our country, and which will allow an international audience to discover – so to speak – a Luxembourg heritage.
Since the new millennium the commissioning of works has played a growing role in the line of action of the Kammerata Luxembourg, which by this means intends to promote musical creation. In the past, the ensemble has commissioned works from Alexandre Mullenbach, Camille Kerger, Marcel Reuter, Tatjana Zelianko, Alejandro Castanos and others.
For the recording project in 2020 we have commissioned Markus Brönnimann, who has been living and working in the Grand Duchy since 1998 (principal flutist at the OPL).
